Signal Transduction Mechanism Research Based on SPR Technology

The overview of signal transduction mechanism research of organism

The overview of signal transduction mechanism research of organismThe environment in which organisms live is changing all the time, which requires organisms to have a perfect mechanism for mutual recognition, mutual reaction and interaction between cells. We can call this mechanism a cell communication system. In this system, cells receive the stimulation of information molecules through the cell membrane or intracellular receptors, and are converted by the intracellular signal transduction system to affect the process of cell biological functions. This is the process of signal transmission between cells. Through signal transduction, cells sense exogenous and endogenous stimuli, thereby changing certain metabolic processes in the cell. Finally, signal transduction affects the growth rate of cells and even induces cell death. Here is an example of how the BIRC5 pathway inhibits apoptosis of HIV-1 infected cells revealed by scientists through the intermolecular interaction mechanism of proteomics.

  • If all HIV-1 infected cells can be killed, then the patient will be completely cured. In order to study the changes in signal pathways during HIV-1 virus replication, the researchers used quantitative proteomics-related intermolecular interaction detection to analyze the host cell CD4+T as a sample. The researchers detected a total of 7761 proteins, of which 552 were differentially expressed proteins. Subsequently, the researchers did a functional network analysis of the differentially expressed proteins, and finally revealed the regulatory mechanism of CD4+ T cell survival after HIV infection. The specific mechanism is shown in the figure below.

Surface plasmon resonance (SPR) in signal transduction mechanism research

The study of signal transduction mechanisms between cells is a hot issue in biological mechanisms, because these transduction pathways regulate the progress of life activities. It is important to understand the regulation mechanism and target of these pathways for the research of signal transduction. The intermolecular interaction detection can help you explore many signal transduction mechanisms from the molecular mechanism in this process. Through SPR technology, you can obtain high-throughput intermolecular analysis, which greatly saves your analysis time. More importantly, SPR technology enables real-time monitoring of molecular interactions while ensuring the accuracy of analysis results.
