The role of concentration analysis in basic research

(1) Direct Testing
Direct detection is mainly used for concentration analysis of high molecular weight samples. As shown in the schematic diagram below, This method is mainly used to detect the absolute response results of the sample to be tested and the ligand on the chip inside the instrument. Finally, a standard curve of sample concentration versus signal intensity can be obtained.
(2) Indirect Testing
Indirect detection is suitable for the detection of low molecular weight samples. Indirect detection is mainly by mixing a known amount of ligand molecules with the sample to be tested, and then detecting the concentration of the remaining ligand molecules through the SPR technology. Then a standard curve of unbound ligand concentration and signal intensity will be established to achieve indirect detection of sample concentration.
